Update

Dear Co-laborers,

The Lord is blessing both at the new work and at the institute. Had a young lady 14 saved this last week and the week before and lady who has a 19 year old son put her trust in Christ. Pray for her boy though as he is heavy into rock music. She told us that she went into his room to try and read her Bible and immediately loud noises came to the point she couldn't read. She has been much in tears over him. But, the last couple of weeks she said that he would pick up her Bible and thumb thru it. He also asked her about the message on Sunday when she arrived home from church. I had preached that morning on "Why Lot Failed." I. He Considered the Beauty of this World, II. He Chose His Own Way, III. He Compromised His Convictions. Anyway, pray for this family.

David, the dad of the 14 year old that trusted Christ this past week has really taken a turn for the good. When he got saved he wouldn't come to church, his wife would tell my wife, in tears, about him hitting her and scaring the kids, he continued drinking. But, he came to church a few weeks ago and wanted to have a serious talk with me. His wife was about to leave him and he was tired of drinking and fighting. I counseled him, Dr. Gambrell was here at the time and went with me, and now for about two months he hasn't drank, hasn't hit his wife and has been coming to church. That could have a lot to do with his teen daughter getting saved as before she wouldn't come to church, wouldn't have a study with us. Praise the Lord for His mighty working!
